Finally a main stream hospital is revealing that adhering to an anti-cancer diet (starving cancer) can prevent cancer cells multiplying. And not just any main stream hospital, but one of the biggest, Johns Hopkins.
Candida Diet Center, through my own experience and the testimony of others, asserts that sugar feeds fungus. I began this website as a result of my own battles with fungus as well as some successes, and the desire to help others with my research.
Johns Hopkins Hospital confirms that "Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Note: Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts."
It is so easy to become lax and gradually eat things we know feed fungus: sugar, milk, yeast, gluten. My brother's cancer virtually disappeared after adhering to his cancer diet for two years, but when the hospital told him they couldn't find any cancer cells he celebrated by deserting his cancer diet to eat whatever he wanted including sugar. The cancer reappeared with a vegeance and spread to his lungs. He died less than a year later.
The Johns Hopkins article states, "Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size."
Once again we learn that we are what we eat. I am reawakened to sugar as a poison, and the benefits of vegetables (we're growing a Victory Garden this year). I hope this article will also alert you to the benefits of an anti-fungal diet, aka an anti-cancer diet.
As you can see from my gluten-free recipes, I love sweets, but even though I replace sugar with xylitol, stevia and other natural sweeteners, desserts should not be used at all in Step 1 and sparingly in Step 3. Starving fungus and starving cancer is not easy, but the rewards in quality and longevity of life make it very much worth the effort.
If this article has served as a wake-up call to you, or if Candida Diet Center has helped you to understand and fight fungus, I would like to know. It's so much more interesting to write for an inter-active readership! So let's talk!
